Photography Organisations


The Royal Photographic Society
The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, commonly known as the Royal Photographic Society, is one of the world's oldest photographic societies. It was founded in London, England, in 1853 as the Photographic Society of London with the objective of promoting the art and science of photography, and in 1853 received Royal patronage from Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain
The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain is the umbrella organisation that provides benefits and co-ordinates specific events for the majority of photographic clubs and societies in England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland.

Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique
FIAP, is an international organization of national associations of photography. More than 85 national associations are members, comprising nearly one million individual photographers.

Lincolnshire Photographic Association
The LPA represents camera clubs and photographic societies in the Lincolnshire area. The LPA organises Events, Competitions, Lecturers and Judges for the member clubs.

North & East Midlands Photographic Federation

N&EMPF was founded in April 1955 and is currently made up of 53 photographic clubs/societies primarily in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
N&EMPF organises a number of events each year; the Exhibition, Championships, Photographic Weekend Conference and Memorial Lecture in the Autumn.

East Anglian Federation of Photographic Societies
The EAF was founded in 1910 and has thus been in existence for over 100 years. The EAF is a constituent founder Member of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB), which is the parent organisation for camera clubs and photographic societies throughout the UK. Having 121 member clubs and societies with in excess of 4000 individual members, the EAF is now the largest federation in the PAGB covering the area of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and that part of Hertfordshire which lies to the east of the M1 motorway.

Peterborough Photographic Society

PPS is suitable for beginners and experienced photographers alike. It meets regularly most Tuesdays throughout the season at 7:30pm (from Sept 3rd 2019 to May 12th 2020) in a well equipped club room at the Parkway Sports & Social Club. Enjoy a full programme of quality guest speakers, practical demonstrations, internal and external competitions, an Annual Exhibition, photographic trips and some lively social events.

Wisbech & District Camera Club
To enhance the enjoyment of photography by further developing skills, appreciation and understanding of the art for all of it's members.

Desborough & Rothwell Photographic Society

Desborough & Rothwell Photographic Society is an established photographic club founded in 1927. We are members of the Midland Counties Photographic Federation and we are also affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.

 We are a small friendly club, and anyone over the age of 16 is welcome, regardless of their abilities or whether they are amateur or professional. It doesn’t matter whether you use a mobile phone or a top of the range DSLR to take your photos as it is only the image produced that matters. Help can be offered to anyone requesting it on any photographic problem, whether it’s about using their cameras or processing and manipulating their images. Help can be offered on a one to one basis if preferred.


Spalding Photographic Society
The objective of our Society is to promote and encourage improvement in photography. We achieve this with presentations by guest speakers, training evenings by local experts, competitions and outings to nearby attractions of photographic interest.
