Trips & Visits

  • Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk with other local keen photographers!
  • Come along to our photo sessions with a group of like minded people. We run photography sessions throughout the year at various locations, both locally and across the country
  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. There will only be limited tuition available, but these days are a great opportunity to get out with like-minded photographers.
  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera and plenty of memory cards and batteries, plus clothing appropriate for the weather!
  • The meeting point and full details for the day will be sent to you prior to the event.
  • Join the Deepings Camera Club Facebook page to share your photos after the session - https://en-gb.facebook.com/deepingscc/

Photographic Trips/Visits responsibilities and guidance

The Deepings Camera Club will not be held liable for any financial or material loss incurred by any delegate attending one of our photographic holidays or visits.

Please note Deepings Camera Club are not able to offer any advice with regard to insurance products or travel documentation.

Your responsibilities

  •   It is the responsibility of each delegate to arrange their own travel and equipment insurance to cover the duration of the trip/visit.

  •   For overseas trips:

o The delegate must be in possession of a valid passport and all appropriate travel

documentation e.g. visas, permits and certificates, including medical certificates where necessary, for the whole of the journey and it is the delegate’s responsibility to obtain the relevant travel documentation.

o The delegate is responsible for checking the entry requirements of any overseas countries to be visited and obtaining any visas and vaccinations required by the country before travelling.

o The event organiser may provide some information as to which airline and flight to choose so that all delegates travel together but it is the delegates responsibility to book their own flights. It is the delegates responsibility that they arrive in good time at the airport to meet with the group and board their flight.

o The event organiser may block book hotel accommodation on behalf of delegates. Delegates are required to transfer their hotel cost to the DCC Bank Account before any booking is made. All payments to hotels will be made from the DCC Bank Account to the accommodation provider by the elected club Treasurer.

o The event organiser may provide information regarding the destination climate, suggested clothing, baggage, special photography equipment requirements etc. and this is provided in good faith with no liability attached to Deepings Camera Club.

  •   It is the delegate’s responsibility to ensure they are physically able to cope with the rigour of the trip/visit. Most events are not physically strenuous, but may involve a substantial amount of walking and standing on the day. If delegates have any concerns regarding their mobility or physical ability to cope they should discuss this with the event organiser, before booking, who will do their best to explain more about the activities to be undertaken on the trip/visit. Ultimately it is the delegate’s decision as to whether they are fit to attend.

Delegates must take all reasonable precautions for their own safety and the safety of other delegates and members of the public. Delegates are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of their possessions. Where required by law delegates must wear the required PPE to keep themselves and others safe.

  •  It is the delegate’s responsibility to ensure they arrive by the agreed time at the venue, meeting point, airport etc. In the case of a group photoshoot event the event leader will not normally wait longer than 10 minutes at the meeting point for late participants. We will ensure that detailed directions are provided prior to the photoshoot and provide contact details for you to find the main group should you be late.

  •  Deepings Camera Club do not accept liability for any loss or additional expense caused by lateness, delay or interruption to travel services through weather conditions, civil disturbance, industrial action, viral pandemic, strikes, wars, floods, or sickness.

  •  Delegates should conduct themselves in a reasonable manner at all times and should not attend events if under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

  •  If the event/photoshoot includes a live model delegates must not touch the model. Refunds

No refunds for a deposit or full payment will be provided unless Deepings Camera Club are able to fill the vacated space to another delegate.
