On Sunday 8th March 2020 , N&EMPF held the annual club pdi
knockout at Arnold,Nottingham. Not only a club competition but also to
select the clubs that will represent N&EMPF at the national finals
held at Warwick. There were 22 club taking part with 2 rounds. In
round 1 ,each club has to submit 16 images from a bank of 40 images that
each club have selected for this competition. Each club is limited in
both rounds to 4 images per author and 4 nature images . A panel of 3
judges then each score between 2 and 5 marks per image, so max score is
15 and least score 6 for each image. The scoring was as usual tough, the
top 8 clubs go through to round 2. We came 4th and went through to the
final round. In round 2 each club has to select 20 images from their
bank of 40 and can select 10 images if wish from images used in round 1.
After round 2 we finished 3rd and have been selected to represent
N&EMPF at the national finals in Warwick in June 2020. This being
the 3rd time Deepings CC have represented N&EMPF at the national
finals. Competing against clubs from Scotland ,England ,Wales and
Northern Ireland.
